This week has been awesome! I've met so many new and great artists through my forum post. I've had a good week at work, the sun is shining, and things are looking so much better in my personal life and here on dA than they have for me in recent months. My thanks go out to all my friends here for your support and friendship!






Wow I was looking at my stats and frankly, they went down a ton since I got back from Germany. I used to get an average of 1200 pageviews a month on dA, and now I'm barely getting a quarter of that. I honestly think it's because the dA group accounts spam everybody with so many deviations in our inboxes that we skip over a lot, simply because there is so much out there. I'm guilty of that too; seeing that I got 20,000 new deviations to look at every week... I kind of miss the old dA...

EDIT: Ah-ha! I started going through the list of people I devwatch. I had been watching 650 people, and I started sorting through them and of the first 300 I've looked at, 2/3 haven't posted anything new in at least 6 months. If that pattern continues, and if it's true of my devwatchers as well, then in effect I went from 600 people who actively watched my work in 2008 to about 200 who're still even active. That explains a lot. Looks like I gotta make a lot of new friends to keep my work on the "in"

I've been trying to figure out what I can do to get some of my older pieces that are still way awesome some more recognition. Before I left for Germany in 2009 I had 250 people who watched me regularly and posted comments and stuff on my work, but since I've gotten back a few months ago, I really feel that my work is not getting nearly as much appreciation as it did before, so I created a folder for some of my favorite photos that I feel could always use more appreciation.






My new art portfolio, "Will Factor Media" is now up and running. It isn't yet complete, but it's way exciting, because it contains two new features; the ability to switch between viewing it in English and German and the ability to use your Facebook account to post comments on pictures and share them on Facebook.

This new website has content and pictures from Germany that I haven't yet posted on deviantART. Now I don't yet have a domain name for it, so it's still at my web address from 2007. CLICK HERE to view it! As soon as I get a job down here in Utah, my first paycheck will go to getting a domain name and removing the ads on it.

I know it's only September, but as Christmas and New Years draw nearer, please consider making a gift out of one of my lovely calendars! They are all available as prints. I ordered a sample copy for myself and have been very pleased with the quality, not only of the pictures, but also of the actual material and layout of the calendars.
