Description
Camera Used: Nikon Coolpix P80
Date Taken: March 31st, 2011
The Golden Rider is a monument to Augustus "the Strong" (A.K.A. Friedrich Augustus I of Saxony) a nobleman of Saxony who later assumed the throne of Poland as "King Augustus II." They called him "the Strong," because he could break horseshoes with his bare hands and participate in a "fox toss" (literally tossing live foxes) with a single finger.
