Camera Used: Nikon P80 Date Taken: June 27th, 2012
This is part of a panoramic shot that I took in 2012 originally consisting of 16 vertical shots with an original canvas size of over 20,000 pixels wide and nearly 4000 pixels tall after being assembled and cropped.
The summer of 2012 celebrated 50 years since the World's Fair came to Seattle in 1962, which is why they painted the top of the Space Needle orange. It was for the World's Fair that the Space Needle was constructed, which at the time was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.
Anyway, here is a cropped version for anyone who uses dual 1920x1080 monitors with Windows 7 or 8. Feel free to download and enjoy, but please respect my copyright and don't distribute it further. Just direct others back here if you want to share it.
Thanks! This is only a chunk of it, the full panorama is in my portfolio folder at the bottom of the left margin of my gallery. Seattle is wonderful though. I don't care much for the political atmosphere because I'm conservative, but other than that it's a great area, especially on a cultural/artistic and on an environmental level. There's so much of nature to be seen, even around the city.
Thanks! Seattle is a very cool city culturally, and the architecture of the city evidences that. I don't care for it much politically, but it'll always be home to me.
Well it is Photoshopped in the sense that I stitched the panorama together, but other than a minimal contrast edit, what I saw is what you see. I'm mostly a naturalist photographer, though there are a few exceptions.
