Moroni was the last prophet who wrote in the records that are now called "The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ" around 420 A.D.; 1400 years later, as an angel, he appeared to the prophet Joseph Smith Jr. in 1821 and in time directed Joseph to the place where he found the metallic plates upon which the records were inscribed, which provides the world with a second witness that Jesus is the Christ and Savior of the world.
The angel Moroni statue sits atop almost all of the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, recognized as the angel mentioned in Revelation 14:6, "having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." Through the calling of Joseph Smith as a prophet, the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as the true priesthood power of the ancient apostles and prophets were restored after centuries of corruption, dissension, and apostasy and is spreading across the world in preparation of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Very nice shot! I think the only temple that lacks the statue is Manti in Utah. But the design of the temple was so gorgeous I did'nt bother to see if it had one untill someone informed me xD
